Do You Want Research Into Vaccine Damage?
Attend London Demo

WE’RE WITH WAKEFIELD DEMONSTRATION
Where
General Medical Council
Regents Place
350 Euston Road,
LONDON NW1 3JN

When
Monday July 16th, from 8am

************************************

From Helen McDade

Dr Andy Wakefield, who did the original research suggesting links between
MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccination, bowel disease and autism – and
was hounded from Britain to the US as a result – is to appear before the UK
General Medical Council. He could be struck off the medical register which
would mean he couldn’t practise medicine anywhere. Anyone who can attend a
demonstration in support of him on the 16th July in London, please do so.

The reasons people with M.E. should show support include: Andy Wakefield did
good scientific research and stood by it when it became apparent his career
was under threat from the establishment. He did the research because
families of autistic children said that they had severe physical problems.
He listened and he felt it was his duty to investigate. He has stood by
those families and other autistic sufferers throughout. He is being bullied
because his conclusions threaten the medical establishment and, in
particular, call into question one of its sacred cows – vaccination.

We have seen this tactic before – with doctors who suggest that thyroid lab
tests are not an absolute way of diagnosing clinical throid problems, for
instance. If it succeeds, we will see it again with other doctors who dare
to have original thought. M.E. probably has more links with autism than is
apparent at this stage in research so it is in the interests of families
with M.E. to show solidarity.

DEMONSTRATION IN SUPPORT OF DR ANDY WAKEFIELD

In one of the most bizarre and preposterous developments in the long running
MMR/bowel disease/Autism debate, Dr Andrew Wakefield is to appear before the
General Medical Council, UK, with the possibility that he will be ‘struck
off’ and prevented from practising medicine. It is of the utmost importance
that anyone who believes that Dr Wakefield was right to publish his
research, joins this public protest:

WE’RE WITH WAKEFIELD DEMONSTRATION

General Medical Council
Regents Place
350 Euston Road,
LONDON NW1 3JN

Monday July 16th, from 8am

Nearest Tubes: Gt. Portland Street, Regents Park, Euston
Nearest Rail Station: Euston

Bring Flags, Banners, Placards, but most important, join us!

If Dr Wakefield is struck off the medical hierarchy will likely refuse all
future funding into the relationship between vaccination and/or bowel
disease and all neurological and other problems in children. It is vital
that this demonstration is well attended.

PLEASE SUPPORT THIS EVENT

I hope those who attended remembered to wear their "I’m With Stupid"
    t-shirts.

On the contrary, he did incredibly shoddy research.  His supposed
findings about measles vaccine virus in the guts of the autistic
children turns out to be completely wrong and simply an artifact of
bad lab technique.  He was paid by the lawyers of plaintiffs, and he
failed to disclose that he was pushing a monovalent measles vaccine of
    his own.
