Hello,
On a recent Newsweek Special issue on children, the magazine made
feeding recommendations that can cause babies to choke. If that
happens can the family sue and what are the probabilities of winning
the case?
Thanks.

Help!! I am a mother of a 10 year old boy diagnosed with ADHD. He is
currently on Ritalin for the AD part, but it does nothing for the HD part.
But the real problem, is that he does not listen, no matter what. When
we go out, even quickly, such as to the grocery store, he will run off,
and no matter what I say, unless I manage to catch him, (which is very
difficult)and hold on to him every minute, he will not stay with me.. At
other times, he will just sit there, refusing to do anything he is asked,
such as homework, and no matter what I say or do, he will not do what is
being asked of him. I have literally tried all forms of discipline, from
taking away privledges, putting him in the corner, restricting him to the
house/room, spanking him on the backside ( with the hand only) , and
nothing works!! I need advise from other parents/ doctors with adhd
children, who will give real, helpful advise, not just suggesting things
that will work with ordinary children. My son is not ordinary, and
conventional methods just do not work!!

Is it true that the answer to cancer has been known for over 40 years and
the government has suppressed the information with the help of the FDA.
This information is found at www.canceranswer.com I believe it. The web
site explains that the answer to cancer is just like the answers to scurvy
rickets and Beri Beri. All had simple answers found in foods. Remember
that the answer to scurvy was simply the orange or vitamin C.
I’ve posted before that my youngest daughter has speech and learning
delays because of partial hearing loss due to ear fluid that refuses to
drain. I’ve found a excellent web site for parents who may believe their
child’s speech delays could be related to ear infection or ear fluid.
Remember that if your child suffers only from ear fluid he/she may not
have classic ear infection symptoms like fever and pain. It’s very
important to bring your concerns to your Pediatrian because prolonged ear
fluid can cause permanent hearing loss. Your pediatrian can easily check
for ear fluid and then refer as necessary to an ear doctor and
audiologist.

Our oldest daughter must have had a dozen ear infections before her
first birthday so naturally I believed I was an expert on the subject.
However, our oldest daughter did not have the problem with ligering ear
fluid. She always had a fever and was always in obvious pain. Not so
with the younger daughter.
Our youngest daughter has had only 2 ear infections, the first one at
15mos old. She’s now 20mos and has yet to say her first word. We can’t
determine how long the fluid has been hanging around.
"Run.. don’t walk" is the best advice I received from anyone. Even if
you don’t believe your child suffers from ear problems, there are other
things that can be done to encourage speech in young children. Don’t wait
and hope that they will eventually catch up. Children shouldn’t JUST
catch up. They should be allowed to learn at their highest potential so
that they not only survive school but thrive therein.

I’m currently researching an article tentatively titled,
"Holier-than-thou-Parents" for Sesame Street Parents
Magazine. It’s about parents of babies or preschoolers who
make overly judgmental comments to their parent friends.
For example, a friend recently told me that I’d "cheated" my
five-month-old son from the benefits of being exclusively
breastfed, because I had recently introduced solids into his
daily eating. Her unsolicited opinion about this made me
furious!
I’m interested in gathering similar stories from mothers who
have experienced being judged by another parent. What
exactly happened and how did it make you feel? I’m looking
for stories about judgmental attitudes by others concerning
the way you handle, for example, bedtime, feeding, dressing,
whatever.
On the flip side, did you ever feel that another parent
reacted in an overly sensitive way when you shared your
opinion about something?
For your information, I’ll be talking to experts on whether
and why moms are more guilty of being judgmental of other
parents than dads — and also about how and when to express
your opinion constructively, and finally, how to receive
constructive criticism gracefully.
If you don’t mind being interviewed further, please include
(in addition to your e-mail address) your phone number (work
and/or home) and the best times to reach you. Thanks for
your interest!

Hi,I have a child with P.K.U. I:d like to know if there is anyone out
there with ths same problem?????????????????????????????????????????????
Why are there 32 posts "Re: beating the Devil out of him"?
Why are there people out there who think their opinion is the only right
one?
Why are the subscribers of this newgroup/or moderators (if there is one)
allowing this newsgroup to be filled with multiple threads to a posting of
trivial garbage?
and the big WHY…why cant you continue a discussion of a posting within
the same posting (ie, not 32 separate postings on the same topic).
Just wondering

I just took my son for his 9 month check-up and the ped. said on his next
visit he will get the chicken pox vaccine. I don’t know much about this
one. Does anyone have any opinions about it?

just thinking about it)
Three months ago, my child had high fever and didn’t below to 101.5.
So, we went to emergency room. The nures gave my child some Tylenol but
fever still didn’t get down. Therefore, the nures drawed blood from my
child and find my child neutrophil percentage almost none. My child had do
bone marrow but the doctor still can’t find why my baby’s neutrophil is so
low. The doctor guess that propably is some kind of verius. Now my baby’s
neutrophil doesn’t goes up.
Is anyone has same problem or situation? Pleas give me helpful
advices. Thank you very much.
Question: My 18 mo. old looses his breath when crying.
He is very lethargic afterwards and usually looses his
balance. His face becomes blue and his mouth purple.
I’ve tried blowing in his face, but it doesn’t seem to
help.
What can I do to help him recover quickly. Recently
he fell and put a gash next to his eye. It worries
me that I won’t be around and something really bad
will happen.
Any suggestions?
